列王紀下-2 Kings 第 2 章

2:1耶和華要用旋風接以利亞升天的時候，以利亞與以利沙從吉甲前行。
And when Jehovah was about to take up Elijah by a whirlwind into heaven, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
2:2以利亞對以利沙說，你留在這裡，因耶和華已差遣我到伯特利去。
And Elijah said to Elisha, Stay here, for Jehovah has sent me as far as Bethel. And Elisha said, As Jehovah lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel.
2:3以利沙說，我指著永活的耶和華和你的性命起誓，我必不離開你。於是二人下到伯特利。在伯特利的申言者門徒出來見以利沙，對他說，耶和華今日要將你的師傅提上去離開你，你知道麼？他說，我也知道，你們不要作聲。
Then the sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, Do you know that Jehovah will take away your master from over your head today? And he said, I too know it; be silent.
2:4以利亞對他說，以利沙，你留在這裡，因耶和華已差遣我往耶利哥去。以利沙說，我指著永活的耶和華和你的性命起誓，我必不離開你。於是二人到了耶利哥。
And Elijah said to him, Elisha, stay here, for Jehovah has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As Jehovah lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And they came to Jericho.
2:5在耶利哥的申言者門徒就近以利沙，對他說，耶和華今日要將你的師傅提上去離開你，你知道麼？他說，我也知道，你們不要作聲。
And the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, Do you know that Jehovah will take away your master from over your head today? And he said, I too know it; be silent.
2:6以利亞對以利沙說，你留在這裡，因耶和華已差遣我往約但河去。以利沙說，我指著永活的耶和華和你的性命起誓，我必不離開你。於是二人繼續前行。
And Elijah said to him, Stay here, for Jehovah has sent me to the Jordan. And he said, As Jehovah lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So the two of them went on.
2:7申言者的門徒中有五十人也去了，遠遠的站在他們對面；二人在約但河邊站住。
And fifty men from the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.
2:8以利亞將自己的外衣捲起來擊打河水，水就左右分開，二人走干地而過。
And Elijah took his mantle and wrapped it together and struck the water; and it parted to this side and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground.
2:9過去之後，以利亞對以利沙說，我被接去離開你以前，該為你作什麼，你只管求我。以利沙說，願你的靈加倍的臨到我。
And when they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I should do for you before I am taken from you. And Elisha said, Let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.
2:10以利亞說，你所求的是件難事。雖然如此，我被接去離開你的時候，你若看見我，事就必這樣為你成就；不然，必不成就。
And he said, You have asked a hard thing. If you see me when I am taken from you, so will it be to you; but if not, it will not be so.
2:11他們正走著說話，忽有火車火馬將二人隔開，以利亞就乘旋風升天去了。
And as they went on and talked, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared; and they separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
2:12以利沙看見，就呼叫說，我父阿，我父阿，以色列的戰車馬兵阿！於是不再看見他了。以利沙拿著自己的衣服，撕為兩片。
And Elisha saw it and cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen! And he did not see him anymore. And he grasped his clothes and tore them in two pieces.
2:13他拾起以利亞身上掉下來的外衣，回去站在約但河岸邊。
And he picked up Elijah's mantle, which had fallen from him, and returned and stood by the bank of the Jordan.
2:14他拿著以利亞身上掉下來的外衣擊打河水，說，耶和華以利亞的神在那裡呢？擊打河水之後，水也左右分開，以利沙就過去了。
And he took Elijah's mantle, which had fallen from him, and struck the water and said, Where is Jehovah, the God of Elijah? And when he also struck the water, it parted to this side and that, and Elisha crossed over.
2:15在耶利哥的申言者門徒從對面看見他，就說，以利亞的靈停在以利沙身上了。他們就來迎接他，在他面前俯伏於地，
And when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
2:16對他說，你的僕人們這裡有五十個壯士，求你讓他們去尋找你師傅，恐怕耶和華的靈將他提起來，投在某山某谷。以利沙說，你們不必打發人去。
And they said to him, Here with your servants are fifty strong men; let them go and seek your master, lest the Spirit of Jehovah has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or into some valley. And he said, You shall not send them.
2:17他們再三催促，直到他不好意思推辭，他就說，你們打發人去罷。他們便打發五十人去，尋找了三天，也沒有找著。
But when they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, Send them. So they sent fifty men, who searched for three days but did not find him.
2:18他們回到以利沙那裡，那時以利沙還留在耶利哥；他對他們說，我豈沒有告訴你們不必去麼？
And they returned to him while he stayed at Jericho; and he said to them, Did I not say to you, Do not go?
2:19耶利哥城的人對以利沙說，這城的地勢美好，我主看見了；只是水惡劣，以致地不出產。
And the men of the city said to Elisha, The location of the city is good, as my lord can see; but the water is bad, and the land is barren.
2:20以利沙說，你們把一個新瓶裡面裝鹽，拿來給我。他們就拿來給他。
And he said, Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it. And they brought it to him.
2:21他出到水源，將鹽倒在那裡，說，耶和華如此說，我治好了這水，這裡必不再有死亡或不出產的事。
And he went out to the source of the water and threw salt there; and he said, Thus says Jehovah, I have healed this water; there will not be any more death or barrenness from there.
2:22於是那水治好了，直到今日，正如以利沙所說的話。
So the water has been healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha, which he spoke.
2:23以利沙從那裡上伯特利去，正沿路上去的時候，有些童子從城裡出來，譏誚他說，禿頭的上去罷，禿頭的上去罷。
And he went up from there to Bethel. And as he was going up on the way, some little boys came out from the city and mocked him and said to him, Go up, baldhead; go up, baldhead.
2:24他回頭看著他們，在耶和華的名裡咒詛他們。於是有兩隻母熊從林中出來，撕裂他們中間四十二個孩子。
And he turned around and looked at them and cursed them in the name of Jehovah. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two children among them.
2:25以利沙從伯特利上迦密山，又從迦密山回到撒瑪利亞。
And he went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.
