| 2:1 | 弟兄們，關於我們主耶穌基督的來臨，和我們聚集到祂那裡， Now we ask you, brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, |
| 2:2 | 我們求你們，無論有靈、或言語、或冒我們名的書信，說主的日子已經來到，你們的心思都不要貿然搖動，你們也不要驚慌。 That you be not quickly shaken in mind nor alarmed, neither by a spirit nor by word nor by a letter as if by us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. |
| 2:3 | 不要讓任何人用任何方法誘騙你們；因為那日子以前，必有背道的事先來，並有那不法的人，就是滅亡之子，顯露出來； Let no one deceive you in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition, |
| 2:4 | 他是那敵對、且高抬自己超過一切稱為神，或受人敬拜者的，甚至坐在神的殿裡，展示自己，說他就是神。 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or an object of worship, so that he sits in the temple of God, setting himself forth, saying that he is God. |
| 2:5 | 我還在你們那裡的時候，曾一再把這些事告訴你們，你們不記得麼？ Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I said these things to you? |
| 2:6 | 現在你們也知道，那抑制他，使他到了自己的時候，才可以顯露出來的是什麼。 And now you know that which restrains, so that he might be revealed in his own time. |
| 2:7 | 因為那不法的奧秘已經發動，只等那現在的抑制者被除去； For it is the mystery of lawlessness that is now operating, but only until the one now restraining goes out of the way. |
| 2:8 | 那時這不法者必顯露出來，主耶穌要用祂口中的氣除滅他，並用祂來臨的顯現廢掉他。 And then the lawless one will be revealed (whom the Lord Jesus will slay by the breath of His mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of His coming), |
| 2:9 | 這不法者的來臨，是照著撒但的運行，行各樣的異能、神跡、和虛謊的奇事， The coming of whom is according to Satan's operation in all power and signs and wonders of a lie |
| 2:10 | 並且在那滅亡的人身上，行各樣不義的欺騙；因他們不領受對真理的愛，使他們得救。 And in all deceit of unrighteousness among those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved. |
| 2:11 | 所以，神就使錯謬運行在他們裡面，叫他們信從虛謊， And because of this God sends to them an operation of error that they might believe the lie, |
| 2:12 | 使一切不信真理，倒喜悅不義的人，都被判罪。 So that all who have not believed the truth but have taken pleasure in unrighteousness might be judged. |
| 2:13 | 主所愛的弟兄們，我們應當常為你們感謝神，因為祂從起初揀選了你們，叫你們藉著那靈的聖別，並你們對真理的信，可以得救。 But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, |
| 2:14 | 神藉著我們所傳的福音，也呼召你們到這地步，好得著我們主耶穌基督的榮耀。 To which also He called you through our gospel unto the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 2:15 | 所以弟兄們，要站立得住，凡你們受教所得的傳授，無論是口傳的，或是我們信上寫的，都要持守。 So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the things which were handed down to you and which you were taught, whether by word or by our letter. |
| 2:16 | 但願我們的主耶穌基督自己，和神我們的父，就是那愛我們，在恩典中將永遠的安慰和美好的盼望賜給我們的， Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope in grace, |
| 2:17 | 安慰你們的心，並在一切善行善言上，堅固你們。 Comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word. |
